Know when your bus is coming — before you leave the house.

TheNextBus is a small WiFi display for your hallway or desk that shows live London bus arrival times for up to two stops near you, powered by TfL data.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Pick your stops

Search for up to two bus stops near your address and choose the routes you actually take.

  2. Step 2

    It fetches live arrivals

TheNextBus polls TfL's live arrivals API so the times on screen are always current.

  3. Step 3

    Glance on your way out

Mount it by the door. One look tells you if you've got two minutes or twenty.

Features

Two configurable stops

Track two bus stops and routes at once — home and the school run, or two directions from the same stop.

Live TfL data

Arrival times come straight from Transport for London's live API.

Touch route picker

Tap a card on the device itself to change route without opening the configurator.

Automatic day/night mode

The display dims itself between 9pm and 5am, and you can override it with a tap.

No app, no drivers

Set up WiFi and stops from a browser tab — nothing to install.

Updates itself

New firmware installs over WiFi, so the device keeps improving after it's on your shelf.

Frequently asked questions

Which areas are supported?

London only, for now — TheNextBus uses Transport for London's bus arrival data, so it only works for stops within TfL's network.

Is this an official TfL product?

No. TheNextBus is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Transport for London.

What does setup involve?

You connect the device once over USB to enter your WiFi details and pick your stops, using a browser — no app or drivers required. See our how-to-use guide for the full walkthrough.

When will it ship, and when does checkout open?

TheNextBus is still in development and testing. Join the waitlist and we'll email you as soon as checkout opens.

What happens with my email address?

We only use it to let you know when checkout opens. No spam, no sharing with third parties.

What's the enclosure made of?

The case is 3D printed. The product is still being refined, so finish and tolerances may vary slightly between units.
